Dublin International Disputes Week 2025

An integral part of Ireland for Law's mission to promote Irish law and Irish legal services globally, Dublin International Disputes Week returned for its fourth year in 2025, continuing to grow as a leading global gathering for leaders in law, business, and policy. We were delighted to welcome delegates from Ireland, the UK, the US, and across Europe.

The week-long event featured a two-day main conference, a series of partner events, an opening reception, and a Gala Dinner for delegates. The main conference featured keynote addresses and thought-provoking panels with speakers such as Rossa Fanning SC, Attorney General of Ireland; Katie Chandler, Taylor Wessing;  and Davi Pere, Avocat Général, Paris. The Hon. Mr Justice David Barniville, President of the High Court, chaired a judicial panel on ‘The Importance of the Rule of Law and a Robust Legal System for Business and Economic Development’ featuring Chief Justice Donal O’Donnell and Dame Siobhan Keegan, Lady Chief Justice of Northern Ireland, and Master of the Rolls and Chair of the Civil Justice Council, Sir Geoffrey Vos.

Other DIDW 2025 speakers include:

Opening the second day of the Conference, Irish Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan TD, launched the KPMG report 'Economic Impacts of the Irish legal profession', which was commissioned by the Law Society of Ireland and The Bar of Ireland. The independent report highlights how essential legal services are to Ireland’s global competitiveness, enabling investment and growth across high-value sectors of the economy.

Shining a spotlight on historic and international disputes

Award-winning journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy delivered a keynote address at the Annual Gala Dinner in The Kevin Barry Recital Room in the National Concert Hall - the historic room where Dáil Éireann debates on the ratification of the Anglo-Irish Treaty took place in 1922. Guru-Murthy offered a global media lens on law, politics, and international relations, which was well received by delegates.

Throughout DIDW, Irish Law Firms hosted Partner Events across the city, creating important opportunities for delegates to come together with the wider Irish legal community and to explore emerging challenges and innovations in global dispute resolution, arbitration, and legal practice.

As lead sponsor of DIDW 2025, Legora, an innovative legal technology company specialising in collaborative AI solutions for lawyers, hosted a dedicated workshop showcasing AI-Driven workflow design.

Alex Fortescue-Webb, Head of UK and Ireland at Legora. said: “Dublin International Disputes Week exemplifies the kind of forward-thinking, global collaboration that aligns perfectly with Legora’s mission to transform legal practice through intelligent, secure AI tools.

“We are proud to support this first-class gathering of legal minds and to demonstrate how innovation in legal technology can empower dispute resolution and foster access to justice across jurisdictions.”
