Fergus Doorly

Fergus Doorly is a Partner at William Fry, where he leads the Restructuring & Insolvency Group and is a member of the Litigation & Investigations Department.

With over 25 years of experience, Fergus specialises in complex domestic and international restructurings, insolvency, liability management, and commercial litigation, with particular expertise in shareholder disputes, financial services disputes, and tax litigation. Notable matters include advising the Nordic Aviation Capital Group on the restructuring of approximately $6.8 billion of debt through Chapter 11 proceedings in the US, and acting for the Ardagh Group on its financial restructuring.

Fergus is a member of INSOL, the IBA Restructuring & Insolvency Committee, and the American Bankruptcy Institute, and is a former Co-Chair of the British and Irish Commercial Bar Association.
